ലിയാന സാഹിർ

I’m a researcher at Mastercard’s AI Garage, working at the intersection of applied ML and research. My day-to-day involves fraud detection at scale; my research is about what happens to models when data is imperfect - noisy labels, imbalanced classes, shifting distributions.

I did my MTech in AI at IISc Bangalore with Prof. Soma Biswas, working on representation learning and generalized category discovery. Before that, I did my BTech in CS at GCE Kannur.

Outside work: I write, I read, and I obsess about bookshops and have probably thought too much about owning one.
